School of Business Conducts Charity Event Donating Clothes to Help People in Need

“Love is being spread, and warmth is being shared”.

In March 2023, Mr Jian, Guo, professor of School of Business, led five students, namely Jiaxin, Niu, Yijun, Guo, Qianzhu, Tao, Yongjian, Zhang, and Yuzhu, Jin, to participate in a charity event aimed at donating clothes. Together, they cleaned, sorted, and packed the clothes collected during the "Lei Feng Month" activity, and successfully handed them over to the Changjiang Civilian Education Foundation for distribution to children in need.

Through this clothing donation event, the students learned that, despite the rapid development of the economy, there are still many special groups in need of assistance, and they also gained an understanding of the challenges of delivering aid and the unique power of charity. The participating students expressed that, as contemporary university students, they support and participate in charitable activities while pursuing their studies, and by doing so, they can gain practical experience and fulfill their social responsibilities. They believe that contemporary youth should take the initiative to undertake social responsibility, love public welfare, and serve society through practical actions, passing on the love they have received.

Every warm piece of clothing is filled with the heartfelt love of our school's students. "Old items" can be given new life, and love can circulate with the clothes. This love not only warms the hearts of the beneficiaries, but also the hearts of the donors, volunteers, teachers, and students who participated in this event.
